If Elvis asks you who I am, tell him I'm Cuban by birth, American by citizenship, Cuban-New Englander by culture. I live in midcoast Maine with my husband and canine. Here, I listen to what the ocean has to say, then run home to write it down.

I used to pump out technical, marketing, and sales materials for the high tech industry. Now that that’s over, I dedicate myself to reading and writing fiction while drinking tea on inclement days. (Maine has a lot of inclement days.) And cuddling with the dog, or the House Beast, as we like to call him.

When I'm not writing, I'm busy raising porcupines. Gardening is a passion, so is making yarn the old fashioned way on a spinning wheel. However, I hate knitting and think it should be outlawed.

My laurels include work that has appeared in many literary journals, including The Adanna Literary Journal, Avocet, Cathexis Northwest Press, Origami Poems Project, MONO (GB), and SCUM (AU). BestLit Review selected me as one of the ten best prose writers in midcoast Maine based on an excerpt from one of my novels. Blanket Sea nominated one of my pieces for Sundress Publications Best of the Net. I have a B.A. And now, my novel, Song of the Wooden Sparrow, is out! in English from Vassar College and an M.A. in Communications from Fairfield University. I'm a member of The Authors Guild, Women’s Fiction Writers Association, and Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance.
